Pepe Aguilar he sent a clear message to his daughter Angela Aguilar and his son Leonardo Aguilar: If they participate in any of your shows, they will do so as employees; not patterns.
This was said by Pepe during an interview with Ventaneando after the announcement of the 2023 edition of ‘Jaripeo sin fronteras’, leaving the rules very clear and forceful so that there are no misunderstandings and it is also very clear who is the boss.
“The owner of this show is me, not them. Someday it will be them, of course someday it will be them. We are creating a franchise, we are creating a brand, but right now it belongs to me and my wife (Aneliz Álvarez Alcalá), nobody else’s”
Pepe Aguilar affirmed in an interview that he gave sitting precisely between his two children, where he made very clear the role that, at this moment, Ángela and Leonardo play.
“Of course they are employees, we have to tell them things and there is nothing wrong with that… They have guidelines that they must comply with, not because they are my children they have some kind of influence in this organization and any of the boys who are around can tell you. here. But yes, sometimes I bring the whip and ‘do’”.
Jaripeo sin Fronteras kicks off its tour on March 4 at the Monumental Plaza México in Mexico City and plans to offer 60 shows in Mexico and the United States, in addition to the expectation of appearing in South America and Spain. Pepe warned that the public will be able to appreciate “three and a half hours of pure Mexicanness.”
And speaking of Mexicanness, Pepe said that Plaza México is the largest venue where they have performed and that this means a challenge because precisely that stage was filled by ‘El Charro de Huentitán in 1984.
“That a person like Mr. Vicente Fernández has filled it means that we have to give it all the desire”, Pepe said as a challenge.
