All dreams are possible to achieve. Proving it is Thompson Vitor, 15, who has become a role model for thousands of students around the world after passing the high school entrance exam using the books he found in the trash.
His story is already going viral and gives a great life lesson to all those who fight against the tide to make their goals a reality.
Vitor is originally from Brazil and his parents work as garbage collectors in the state of Rio Grande do Norte. When he kept them company, the young man collected the books that gave him the necessary knowledge to pass his entrance exam.
Despite the unlikely chances of passing, not having the help of a tutor or the necessary money for tuition, Vitor never stopped motivating himself, achieving his goal: to enter the Federal Institute of the Rio Grande do Norte.
Doña Rosangela, Vitor’s mother, said that all the books that she found in the garbage she took to her son, so since he was a child he instilled in him a love of reading. Now the mother says she is very proud of her son and she hopes that he achieves his biggest dream: to obtain a bachelor’s degree.
Internet users from different parts of the world share Vitor’s story as an example to follow, as he proves that determination, effort and work are the basis for dreams to come true, even when there is darkness on the way.
