Pablo Lyle’s involuntary manslaughter trial will take place on September 20 in a criminal court in Miami, Florida, and will be conducted under strict security conditions because it is a case that has been in the public eye.
The Mexican actor was arrested in March 2019 after getting involved in a road incident in which he hit Juan Ricardo Hernandez, a 63-year-old man of Cuban origin who lost his life a few days later due to brain damage. And although the actor was released after paying $5,000 bail, he has remained under house arrest wearing a GPS monitor on his ankle that allows authorities to monitor his movements 24 hours a day.
Three and a half years after his arrest, it was finally revealed that It will be on September 20 around 9 am when the film, theater and television actor will be judged in a court in Miami, Florida, for which a total of 10 people were confirmed on the jury, while Philip Reizenstein, Lyle’s lawyer, will call 10 witnesses.
The foregoing was made known during a brief hearing held last Thursday, September 8, which was resumed by the program ‘Ventaneando’, in which Judge Marisa Tinkler, the actor’s lawyer and the state prosecutor were present to set the terms, among which they highlight that it will have special security.
And it is that, due to the interest and media coverage, it is being considered to hire elements to safeguard order in case something extraordinary happens, taking into account the number of people expected to arrive at the court to witness the trial.
“We have not seen a quantity of press such as this time that has had international attention, perhaps we could resort to hiring private security anticipating that there will be hundreds of people in the corridors of the court, “said the actor’s lawyer. For her part, the judge explained that they will take special measures to prevent this from happening “turn into a circus“.
While, during the hearing held last August, Marisa Tinkler estimated that the trial could last 3 to 4 days.
