After the news of the complaint against the singer Pablo Montero for alleged sexual abuse spread, through an interview conducted by the magazine TVNotesthe actor also defended himself against the accusations after the Chiapas Prosecutor’s Office confirmed that he had opened the investigation folder.
Despite the fact that the statement issued by the Prosecutor’s Office ensures that there is no arrest warrant, it did affirm the existence of the complaint for alleged sexual abuse by two women residing in Tapachula, Chiapas, and that they are investigating.
However, the singer assured the magazine that he would be unable to do something like this and pointed out that it is “a bad move”. In addition, he confessed to being tired of clearing his name for this and other accusations that have been made against him for many years.
I would be unable to do something like that. I don’t know anything, I’m not like that and I don’t want to talk about it because I’m not like that and they know me (…) I hate that they do these things, I would never do this in my life. First I shoot myself in the head before I do that, I’ll tell you right away.
In addition to this, Pablo added that they want to involve him in another controversy and that, despite suffering from many things that happen to him, this unpleasant episode will not make him falter.
I have my daughters, I have my family, I have my mother… I suffer a lot because of the things that happen to me, but this is not going to make my legs shake, do you understand me?, because I know very well what I have and who I am, would never do that. This is a bad move.
Finally, the interpreter commented that he is not afraid of going to jail and he will not seek advice either, as he assured that it is a slander and nothing more.
On the other hand, a national newspaper announced that the singer’s public relations officer, Emilio Morales, confirmed that the complaint “did exist, but that it was withdrawn after an arrangement with the complainant for one million pesos.”
According to Emilio, the alleged victim and Pablo saw each other after an event in the palenque and after finding out about this, the young woman’s parents would have asked him for a million pesos so as not to proceed legally. However, seeing that the singer did not give them the money on the agreed date, they decided to file a complaint against him.
Finally, the public relations officer stressed that this accusation was false, with the intention of extorting him. Because the victims claimed that he had raped them, Pablo Montero determined to grant the money. However, Emilio stressed that the sexual act was consensual and both women are not minors. So everything seems to indicate that the complaint has already been withdrawn.
