After Pablo Lyle was sentenced for involuntary manslaughter on February 3, the Mexican actor’s lawyer declared that they will appeal the ruling in order to obtain a reduction, because, according to his arguments, the judge gave an erroneous verdict.
After being sentenced to five years in prison and eight years of probation, as well as 100 hours of community service and anger management therapy for the involuntary manslaughter of Juan Ricardo Hernández during a traffic disturbance in Miami, Florida, United States, in 2019 , Pablo Lyle’s family decided to carry out a new legal process to reverse the ruling of Judge Marisa Tinkler Mendez.
In an interview for the magazine People in spanish, Both the actor’s family and his legal team consider that the sentence is unfair, so they will proceed with their appeal.

Similarly, when interviewed by various media outlets, the lawyer for the Mexican soap opera star, Phill Reitzenstein, confirmed that said judicial proceeding will be carried out in favor of the 36-year-old actor.
What I will say is that, in my opinion, his conviction is wrong and still is. Of course, we will appeal, [Pablo Lyle] he is innocent, he did not break the law of the state of Florida, he only defended his family.
It’s crazy that some prosecutors would ask for a 15-year sentence for someone with no criminal record. This has nothing to do with the Hernández family, we understand what they are asking for, they lost a loved one and it is logical. In court prosecutors should seek justice and not revenge.
It is worth mentioning that Pablo Lyle’s defense has 30 days to appeal the sentence from the date it was issued.
