The euphoria and desire to go viral by recreating the best trends of TikTok drives the users of the platform crazy, who, regardless of whether they are during working hours, record the most popular challenges in order to obtain many likes and become famous.
Such is the case of Alicia Perla, a cashier at an Oxxo, in Veracruz, Mexico, who when recording a “live” on her TikTok account, while attending a woman who requested a phone recharge, her followers began to call to the number to which she put a balance, so the client returned to claim and they ended up firing the girl.
The young woman, who, judging by her profile on TikTok, recorded many trends During her work hours, she shared a clip that, under the text “That’s why they fired me from the Oxxo”, shows how the furious client arrives at the establishment to claim that her cell phone began to receive many calls after she recharged her phone .
In the recording where only Alicia appears, the angry woman can be heard in the background asking her in an attentive way to delete the video from her TikTok account, since she finds it disrespectful to receive countless calls for something that for her was a simple game.
Distressed by the situation, the girl asks her to show her her phone, but given the client’s refusal, Alicia assures her that the video no longer exists on her profile, since it was a live and that type of recordings are not saved in the account.
After proposing that she change her number and trying to convince the furious lady that it had been a mistake, Alicia listened to a speech by the client, who advised her that she should behave with the seriousness that her work deserves.
At the end of the video, the woman asks Alicia for her name and employee number to file a complaint against her for disclosing her phone number without her consent. The peculiar recording of the dismissal did not take long to go viral on the short video platform, where users commented that the client was right to be upset, since it is not correct to record TikToks during working hours.
