X-Men Origins: Wolverine eliminated a cameo of a heroine, but this scene has an impact within the plot and was close to entangling the story of this tape more
X-Men Origins: Wolverine was presented as a Logan origin tape, but the plot of this tape turned into a headache for the continuity of the story, and as proof of this the deleted cameo of a character, which impacted history.
Don’t Miss: Storm’s Missing Cameo in X-Men Origins: Wolverine
Recall that this film features the likes of Sabretooth, Gambit, and (the infamous introduction of) Deadpool, as well as younger versions of Cyclops, Emma Frost, and even the Stepford Cuckoos.
In the first scenes of this movie, as SMASH previously reported, you can see a cameo of the child version of one of the most powerful mutants, and a great ally of Charles Xavier, Storm.
During the mercenary team’s raid on Nigeria, where William Stryker is looking for an Adamantium meteorite, Logan (Hugh Jackman) decides to resign from this command, and Storm is immediately seen, who at the end of the scene influences the climate of the place.
In the scene that reached the final cut, Storm was digitally removed, it can only be seen that an electrical storm begins in the Nigerian town. While a storm is a natural phenomenon, this movie sought to tie in with the earlier X-Men movies, but its issue with continuity was forcing these ties.
That is why the creatives removed the scene of the young Storm, but her powers appear in the final edition, something that could bring more chaos to the story directed by Gavin Hood.
