To celebrate and honor this time of tradition and legacy embodied in a unique tequilapresented a special edition that reflects their commitment to the industry.
In life and style we witnessed the presentation of Orendain 95th Anniversary in an intimate evening with the Orendain family, who told us in detail about this new product, while we tasted typical Mexican dishes such as drowned cake and Aztec soup, accompanied by cocktails by the house mixologist.
Orendain 95th Anniversary is a 100% agave extra-aged tequila that, to create it, American white oak barrels were mixed with different burns -which previously contained American whiskey-, with a retro nasal effect that activates all the senses with its aroma.
This tequila spent ten years in the barrel, and added the growth time of the agave plant and what it took to produce, it is a product that began 20 years ago.
The exclusive bottle has a structure that represents a pineapple jimada, its irregular shapes represent nature and the essence of being, each one different even though they come from the same root, which gives shape to this bottle. special edition.
In the tequila reflected through the bottle, the bright amber color with orange sparkles stands out; it conveys a woody scent, vanilla and floral notes, as well as fine spices and chocolate.
In addition to celebrating 95 years of tradition, this special edition also honors the memory of Don Alfonso Orendain, a fundamental pillar of the company until now.
“This tequila is a mixture that Don Alfonso made and that we had saved and reserved for a moment as special as this; celebrating 95 years of legacy and now in charge of the third generation of the family”, says Juan Casados Arregoitia, general director of Tequila Orendain.
this special edition is limited to 500 units worldwide; distribution is projected in 50 countries and will have a suggested price of 9,500 pesos through online sales.
As part of the celebration, the Orendain family also reopened the doors of their Distillery “La Mexicana”which was undergoing a renovation process and now produces more than 6 million liters of tequila, which represents a 100% increase in its production capacity.
