Warning, spoilers for the ‘One-Punch Man’ manga!
With an epilogue to close everything as Saitama commands
The Human Monster Arc has been the longest of the version of ‘One-Punch Man’ illustrated by Yusuke Muratawhich began seven years ago precisely with the introduction of Garou. During this part of the story we have seen the full potential of the war between the Association of Heroes and the Association of Monsters, which has culminated a frantic duel between Saitama and Garou.
The fight between the two heavyweights ended up taking them to Io, Jupiter’s moon, where Saitama He very happily announced that he could finally unleash his full powers. How could it be otherwise, Saitama has ended up defeating Garou and thus the longest stage of the manga has ended.
There are still some details to close, so Murata himself has confirmed since your twitter account that the next chapter of the manga will serve as an epilogue to deal with the consequences of this plot arc. Of course, despite the rumors that the series was coming to an end, the cartoonist has made it clear that there is still a lot of history ahead and that he plans to continue drawing much more ‘One-Punch Man’ with ONE at the forefront of the script.

This very long arc has been full of impressive action moments, which unfortunately have not yet been adapted into anime. The second season had a somewhat mixed reception compared to the first, so the rumors of a hypothetical season 3 come and go without finishing anything at all.
Even so, the anime only covered up to volume 16 of the manga, so we have plenty of material to adapt and it would be a joy to see these latest battles in animated format.
