This integrates the world’s first movement itself that fuses the chronograph complication with a minute repeater. In addition to having a handmade movement, developed in conjunction with the sister firm Blancpain, the caliber required 6 years of development and of which 17 patents have been imposed to reach full operation. Which is a wonder both to the eye and to the ear.
OMEGA has a tradition celebrating its legendary history of precision and the magic of its movements. Powering these 2 beautiful-sounding masterpieces, this revolutionary new caliber highlights OMEGA’s watchmaking excellence.
THE OLYMPIC 1932 CHRONO CHIME. This is a numbered edition linking the world’s first minute repeater wristwatch, made by OMEGA in 1892, with the pocket chronographs that were used to time the 1932 Los Angeles Olympics.
THE SPEEDMASTER CHRONO CHIME. Inspired by the first timepiece used outside the Earth’s atmosphere, this numbered edition is a special timepiece for expert collectors only.
To present these new pieces to the public, OMEGA chose the Walt Disney Concert Hall, a venue famous for its extraordinary acoustic properties..
