In this building he will create the “World of his Dreams” in a totally comprehensive way, since unlike other immersive concepts that have been carried out in Mexico City, the experience of Okuda Saint Michaelthrough its geometric figures and multicolored patterns, will communicate a message of great value with iconic sculptures produced by the hands of Mexican artisans, exclusively for this exhibition.
Among the most famous interventions by Okuda San Miguel are the churches located in Youssoufia (Morocco), Asturias (Spain) or Denver (USA), as well as unique buildings such as the Ajo lighthouse in Cantabria (Spain) or large murals on buildings of more than 20 apartments in Toronto (Canada) or Paris (France). In this sense, taking advantage of his arrival in Mexico, the artist will intervene on the outside of the pediment mexico with a mural that will also celebrate the 101 years of Mexican muralism.
“I have many Mexican friends with whom I have worked for many years, I have always had a relationship with artists from here, with this country I have always had a bond and a lot of union; I lived here for a few months during the pandemic, I love it, ”Okuda expressed regarding his relationship with the country.
“For many years I have combined my studio work with what I do in the streets, for the Frontón México it seemed like a perfect idea to occupy the building to mount an exhibition inside and paint the packaging on the outside to make a complete package, especially for It is such an emblematic place”, commented the artist in reference to the mural that he will do on the exterior façade of the Fronton Mexico.
