This month the Netflix headquarters must be a bit on fire, especially in the animation department. A large part of the thinking and creative heads have been fired from the streaming platform and a good handful of series have been cancelled, but The good news is that it seems that not everything is lost and that we will have animation and for a while within Netflix.
For now we know that a good number of animated series are coming for all audiences between now and 2023,** with some very interesting premieres in view of original series and also more expansions of franchises** that have been working quite wisely within of the platform.
More franchises, but several original releases for all audiences
Netflix has put all the meat on the grill with animated series from big franchises. Topping the list are ‘The Boss Baby: Back to the Cradle’ and ‘My Little Pony: Make Your Mark’ this month. Throughout the year we will also see the first season of the ‘Kung Fu Panda’ series with Jack Black returning to dub Po in his original version and ‘Sonic Prime’, with 24 episodes dedicated to a new Sonic adventure.
will also premiere ‘Dead End: Paranormal Park’a comedy-horror series based on the graphic novels by Hamish Steele, and an interactive adventure ‘Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous’.
Not only new series of IPs are released, luckily we have several original titles on the horizon. ‘Daniel Spellbound’ will be a series of adventures and fantasy, and in ‘Oni: Thunder God’s Tale’ the gods and monsters of Japanese mythology roam freely. To finish covering all genres, the first season of ‘Super Giant Robot Brothers’where two robots discover that they are brothers while trying to defend Earth from evil forces from outer space.
In addition to these new series, it has also been confirmed that new chapters of several series from the house will arrive throughout 2022. Finally we will see the continuation of ‘The Dragon Prince‘ and more seasons of ‘The Cuphead Series!’, ‘Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous,’ and ‘He-Man and the Masters of the Universe.’
What’s coming in 2023
Although the reel has focused mainly on 2022, we have also had a small preview of what is to come for next year. We’ve finally had a fuller first look at ‘My Dad the Bounty Hunter’a sci-fi comedy series centered on a special bounty hunter who hides his true job from his family…until his kids discover their dad isn’t as boring as they thought.
It has also been possible to see a teaser of ‘We Lost Our Human’which will be an interactive adventure about a cat named Pud and a dog named Ham, who wake up one day to find that all the humans on earth have disappeared and try to find their owner.
