It has been 92 years since Lewis Milestone first adapted Erich Maria Remarque’s novel ‘No news at the front’shaping a of the great masterpieces of the history of war cinema. Now, after the far from negligible translation of the manuscript in the film for television signed by Delbert Mann at the end of the 70s, we will once again immerse ourselves in the trenches of World War I with a new version to be distributed by Netflix.

Edward BergerGerman director responsible for feature films such as ‘Jack’ and episodes of series such as ‘Patrick Melrose’, ‘Deutschland 83’ or ‘The Terror’, is the head of this anti-war drama which, as you can see in the trailer that presides over these lines, promises an overwhelming epic presided over by a truly spectacular formal treatment.
photographed by James Friend — BAFTA winner for ‘Rillington Place’ and nominated for ‘Your Honor’ — in what seems like an award-winning exercise, this German/US co-production features a cast led by Daniel Brühl, Sebastian Hülk and Albrecht Schuch. Although, the best news is that we can enjoy it in movie theaters during the month of october before landing on Netflix on the 28th of that same month.
