welcome to night city
This year we learned that Netflix has signed for several projects in collaboration with Japanese anime studios, and the first results have already been arriving. Without a doubt one of the most exciting titles ahead of us is ‘Cyberpunk: Edgerunners’, that takes us back to the scene of ‘Cyberpunk 2077’ and is animated from triggerone of the most impressive anime studios on the scene.
‘Cyberpunk: Edgerunners’ will consist of 10 episodes that can be seen on the platform from the next September 13th, so it’s time to hit the reminder bell and write it down on our calendars.
The anime of ‘Cyberpunk 2077’ It will tell a different story from the video game, although it will also be set in the chaotic Night City. From CD PROJEKT RED they have also collaborated in the production of the series, although the direction of the anime has fallen to Hiroyuki Imaishi, who already worked on ‘Kill la Kill’ with Trigger.
The story of ‘Cyberpunk: Edgerunners’ can be enjoyed separately without having played the video game, so there is no need to catch up if you still have it pending. Specifically, it focuses on a young man who tries to survive on the streets of Night City, for which he becomes a type of fugitive mercenary known as an “edgerunner”.
