Netflix just released the trailer ‘Bard, false chronicle of a few truths’the new movie Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu which received quite harsh criticism during the last Venice Festival. That is undoubtedly one of the reasons why the Mexican filmmaker has made a new montage 22 minutes shorter than the previous one.
The advance that we can see today does not clarify much about the story of ‘Bardo, false chronicle of a few truths’, but it is known that it tells the story a Mexican journalist and documentary filmmaker who returns to his countrywhere he will have to face his identity, his family affections or the absurdity of his memories, as well as the past and the new reality of his country.
Starring Daniel Gimenez CachoGriselda Siciliani, Íker Sánchez Solano, Leonardo Alonso, Andrés Almeida, Ximena Lamadrid, recently seen in ‘Who killed Sara?’, Ruben Zamora, Fabiola Guajardo, ‘Bardo, false chronicle of a few truths’ has a script written by Iñárritu himself together with Nicholas Giacobonewith whom he has already collaborated on the script for ‘Birdman’.
‘Bardo, false chronicle of a few truths’ will not be released on Netflix until next December 16, so it is possible that Iñárritu will continue making adjustments to the montage until he finds the final version. Let’s keep in mind that at the beginning it lasted 4 hours, at its premiere in Venice it had already dropped to 174 minutes and the current version remains at 152.
