How could it hardly be otherwise, Netflix has announced that it will premiere ‘Guillermo del Toro’s Cabinet of Curiosities’ just in time for this year’s Halloween. Specifically on October 25 we will be able to see the first two episodes of this anthology that will accompany us during the week prior to the night of terror par excellence.
This is how Netflix has revealed it in a short video in which the master of the genre himself has introduced us to this world of anomalies and curiositieswhile the images stopped to show us a brief look at each of the eight episodes of the anthology, which will air twice a day until its conclusion on October 28.
Of course, unfortunately we will not have a “bite” directed by Guillermo del Toro. The filmmaker is “limited” (which is not a small thing) to the functions of creator, presenter and executive producer of the fiction, in addition to being the author of some of the stories that are adaptedfeaturing J. Miles Dale (‘The Shape of Water’) as coshowrunner.
«With Cabinet of curiosities we intend to present the realities that exist outside our normal world: anomalies and curiosities. We have chosen and curated a host of stories and storytellers to bring these stories to life, whether they come from outer space, supernatural lore, or simply from our minds. Just in time for Halloween, each of these eight tales is a fantastic glimpse into the cabinet of delights that exist beneath the reality in which we live.”
