Given the messages on social networks that express their disgust at the casting of Gwendoline Christie as Lucifer in the series The Sandman, the author Neil Gaiman defended the choice of the actress
In recent days, more official images of Morpheus and Lucifer were released for the Sandman series, inspired by the saga that Neil Gaiman wrote for DC Vertigo (now DC Black Label) between 1988 and 1996.

A sector of Sandman fans did not agree with the choice of actress Gwendoline Christie as Lucifer, something they expressed on social networks, something to which Neil Gaiman himself reacted.
Before some messages that expressed their discomfort at the choice of Gwendoline Christie as Lucifer, Gaiman came to the defense of the actress.

“It’s not my problem” is Gaiman’s response to some fans who disapprove of Christie’s arrival as Lucifer.

The Sandman stars Tom Sturridge as Dream, Gwendoline Christie as Lucifer, Boyd Holbrook as the Corinthian, Vivienne Acheampong as Lucienne, Charles Dance as Roderick Burgess, Asim Chaudhry as Abel, Sanjeev Bhaskar as Cain.
Also starring are Jenna Coleman as Joanna Constantine, Kirby Howell-Baptiste as Death, and Mason Alexander Park as Desire.
Allan Heinberg will write the series, and Neil Gaiman will serve as producer, alongside David S. Goyer, who has participated in projects such as Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight film trilogy.
The Sandman will be released in the course of 2022 through the most famous digital entertainment platform.
