The island of Mexcaltitán was the place where the inauguration and the first swooping competition in Mexico took place: extreme aquatic skydiving.
This event was attended by the Governor of Nayarit, Dr. Miguel Ángel Navarro; the Secretary of Federal Tourism, Miguel Torruco; the Secretary of Tourism of Nayarit, Juan Enrique Suarez; and Ana Gabriela Guevara, General Director of CONADE. This event will have the participation of 16 of the best skydivers in the world, from nine different countries: Australia, Germany, Chile, Brazil, Canada, the United States, Spain, Italy and Mexico.
This discipline that sneaks into the list of extreme sports, professional athletes open the parachute as soon as they get out of the helicopter and control it by means of the canopies to run a circuit. In addition to surprising the attendees with some freestyle jumps where Miles Daisher, in which he impressed by jumping from the helicopter with a kayak with his luck hundreds of meters high, is the only athlete to do so and it was Mexcaltitán where it was held for the first time. time in Mexico.
