A single episode has needed Ms Marvel to establish a new record within the MCU. Kamala Khan’s life has only just begun.
With just one episode, the series of mrs marvel has broken a record for UCM and has become the comics character of the House of Ideas latest and youngest to lead their own movie or TV show.
kamala khan was created in July 2013, in issue 14 of the series of Captain Marvel. Just nine years later, she leads her own television series in Disney+ and is one of the biggest names in the MCU so far this year. He has broken the record that was previously set at 24 years!
That record was previously held by Ant-Man (Scott Lang). It was established in the year 2015, with the arrival of the first film. Scott Lang was introduced in the comics in issue #181 of The Avengers (1979). Nevertheless, Jennifer Walters will soon overtake Lang for second place when it opens she hulk. Jennifer Walters was featured in the vignettes of marvel comics on February 1, 1980, in the first issue of savage-hulk. But the truth is that it will be very difficult to overcome Kamala Khan.
There are more characters, but she is at the ‘top’ in every way!
Between Kamala Khan and Scott Lang, there have been several very “young” Marvel Comics characters who have been dropped into the MCU. However, none of those characters was the lead in a franchise, movie, or television series. It is the case of shuri Y Maria Hillwho were introduced in the comics the same year, 2005.
Secondly, America Chavez showed up at the MCU recently with Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. She came out in the year 2011, so she is “older” than Ms Marvel and she also hasn’t lead her own project yet. So Kamala Khan holds both records. She is the newest Marvel Comics character introduced in the MCU (surpassing America by two years) and is the newest character to receive her own story (surpassing Ant-Man by 24 years).
