New images of Avengers: Infinity War reveal more details of the Iron Strange armor, with which Tony Stark defended Stephen Strange from the hands of Ebany Bow

In 2020, during an Avengers: Infinity War Watch Party, screenwriter Stephen McFeely shared a photo in which Doctor Strange wears an Iron Man armor, the Iron Strange, with which the Sorcerer Supreme defended himself from Ebany Bow’s attacks. .

The existence of this armor was confirmed by Benedict Cumberbatch, who was disappointed that this sequence with the Iron Strange was cut from the final cut.
“Both (Robert Downey Jr and I) were disappointed… It took a long time to splurge on those spliced-together suits (laughs). It was an amazing moment… I mean, having some of those outerwear with you, it’s really, really, really cool. I would love to have seen what that combination of magic and technology would do too”.

Phil Saunder, who is in charge of visual development on Avengers: Infinity War, also shared concept art of the Iron Strange in action.
“An early script idea that didn’t make it into the final film was this hybrid of the Iron Man Mk 50 suit and Dr. Strange to protect Strange from being tortured with Maw’s magic needle, Tony transfers his suit to him. I imagined that the Eye of Agamotto would have taken the place of Tony’s RT and powered the suit, burning a sigil around it. Later in the scene, Tony gets Strange’s cape. , leading to a strange team“.
