A few days ago an interview was released that Miley Cyrus awarded to the magazine Vogue (in its UK edition), where he announced that he will no longer tour extensively to promote his album Endless summer vacation: “Singing for hundreds of thousands of people is not really what I love. There is no connection. There is no security. It is also not natural. It isolates you a lot, because if you are in front of 100,000 people then you are alone”.
These statements caused some controversy among her fans, so now the singer turned to her account instagram to share a long message clarifying the reason for her decision: “I feel connected to my fans now more than ever. When I win, we win. Even if I don’t see you face to face at a concert, my fans are in my heart…Performing for you have been some of the best days of my life, and we will continue this journey together as we have for the (almost) last two decades.”
The singer was very clear in pointing out that “this has nothing to do with a lack of appreciation for the fans…I just don’t want to get ready in a locker room, which is the reality of a life on the road…I don’t want to sleep on a walking bus. It’s not the best for me right now, and if you’ve been following my career you know that I’m always changing, and the way I think about it could change as well. I love them forever. It’s just that I’m on my endless summer vacation.”
