Miguel Martínez, one of the 8 participants who agreed to be part of the new season of ‘Look Who Dances All Stars 2022‘, in addition to doing it for the experience, exposure, and connecting with the public, he has a greater reason: his grandmother.
The lady with whom he shared so much in his childhood and youth has Alzheimer’s, and that’s why the Sinaloan actor and singer chose to fight on the track to win the award for the US Against Alzheimer’s Foundation in honor of his grandmother.
We spoke exclusively with Miguel about this topicand he confesses that one of his greatest fears is that it will happen to him:
“One of the greatest fears I have in life is forgetting, forgetting who I am, forgetting where I come from, forgetting my family.forgetting my loved ones, forgetting what I know and what has shaped me, is something that would hurt a lot”, he explains.

Why is he so afraid? So you’re starting to live with your granny?
“Seeing it so closely and with a person so special to me, who is my grandmother, hurts my soul and it hurts my heart.it really leaves me because it is something that if it leaves, it will not return.. I am very grateful to life that I still have with me, my grandmother is already a little older and I understand that this is lifebut we can, perhaps, find better treatments, and we can help these people, who perhaps already suffer from it and that makes life much more difficult, we are going to do it and we are going to do it for them,” Martínez tells us.
Being living this situation with his dear grandmother, leads Miguel to reflect on how human beings go through different stages and how sometimes we evolve, and others, the years devolve us.
“Our older adults, sometimes we forget them in a certain way because we see them as bigand that they can take care of themselves, etc., but in reality, with the passage of time we become babies again, and what I would like is to help them and be able to be closer to thisthat to many people right now it is something like that hits us, at this moment, we are going for that and we are going to give ourselves completely to be able to help”.
However, with the generosity that characterizes him, the participant of ‘Look Who Dances All Stars’ tells us that, although his cause has such a special feeling for him, all those of his colleagues deserve to take their reward.
“I know that all the causes of my colleagues are also super noble, and all of them also have something else that perhaps identifies them or that they want to support because of some situation in which they have lived. And I respect that too, and I know we’re all going to help directly whether we win or not.”
Let us remember that this Sunday, at 8/7 PM Central, on Univision, after the resignation of Gabriel Cornel due to the injury that was done in the first rehearsals, one of the 7 that remain will be eliminated by the three judgesRoselyn Sánchez, Paulina Rubio and Isaac Hernández.
