Internet Explorer was one of the pioneer browsers since the internet age began, something that those of the old school will remember as the web browser slowest of all and that many claimed that it was only used to download Chrome. As announced in May 2021, after 27 years of service, Microsoft says goodbye to its old system to make way for its Edge browser.
On June 15, Microsoft’s most dominant web search server was taken down due to Explorer 11 browser compatibility issues with some elements and future versions of operating systems like Windows 10.
Before the news of the closure of the historical browser, users could not avoid remembering the hours of waiting when performing a search. For this reason they fired him as he deserved and with all the love in the world they dedicated a series of funny memes to give him the last goodbye. Here are the best ones so far.
1. It wasn’t the fastest, but it was our browser
Today we say goodbye definitively to Internet Explorer
It was slower than the bad guy’s horse
It took 3 days to load
And he was left hanging in the important moments
But it was our browser pic.twitter.com/RV5wMUwxZT
