The actress michelle pfeiffer used your account Instagram to publish an emotional message remembering the rapper coolie, who passed away yesterday in Los Angeles at the age of 59. Everything points so far that his death was due to cardiac arrest.
Accompanying a photo showing them together, Pfeiffer wrote: “I was heartbroken to hear of the passing of the talented artist @coolio. A life cut short too soon. as some of you know I was lucky enough to work with him on the movie “Dangerous Minds” in 1995. He won a Grammy for his brilliant song on the soundtrack. – which I think was the reason why our film was so successful. I remember him being very kind and courteous. 30 years later I still get chills when I hear that song. Sending love and light to your family. Rest in Power, Artis Leon Ivey Jr. ❤️”.
The movie “Dangerous minds” was one of the hits of the summer of 1995, and as for its theme “Gangsta’s paradise” ranked number 1 Hot 100 of Billboard for three weeks. The video clip of the song won the award for Best Rap Video at the MTV Video Music Awards that year, and in it Michelle made a guest appearance.
