With the Marvel Cinematic Universe continuing the expansion of its Phase 5 with the most interesting titles on its nearest horizon such as ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3’, and with others somewhat less attractive -to say the least- such as ‘The Marvels ‘, it is difficult to continue hooked on Kevin Feige’s project. But, in the future, a most desirable project is glimpsed: ‘Blades’.
Fresh blood
The truth is that We had spent a long time without news about the return of the marvelita half-vampire. Specifically, since his former director, Bassam Tariq, left the production after the constant dizziness of production and premiere dates, giving his place to Yann Demangedirector of ’71’, episodes of series such as ‘Lovecraft Territory’ and the great ‘Dead Set’.
But today we are here to talk about the new signing that has joined the cast of ‘Blade’ to accompany Mahershala Ali, who will give life to the titular hero. This is none other than Mia Goth; the interpreter who has just amazed half the world with her work in the remarkable ‘Pearl’ by Ti West —winning the occasional award on the festival circuit— and who has also received rave reviews for his work on Brandon Cronenberg’s ‘Infinity Pool’.
Unfortunately, at the moment no details about the script or the premise of the feature film have been revealed, and this includes any kind of clue about the character that Goth will play. Of course, in the case of a film with hints of terror in a vampiric key, the choice, a priori, seems ideal.
To be able to put our retinas on ‘Blade’ we will have to wait a long season; specifically until on September 6 of the next 2024; date on which this new version of the adventures of the character created by Gene Colan and Marv Wolfman will be released.
