If anyone knows how to move like a fish in water in the United States real estate market, that is the presenter Ellen DeGeneres, who has just entered the book of records for having carried out the most expensive residential operation in the history of Saint Barbara.
Portia de Rossi’s partner disbursed $70 million dollars for two adjoining lots that belonged to Bruce and Suzie Kovner.
In the first there is a Tuscan style house, with a value of $41.7 million dollarswhile in the second, for which they paid $28.2 million dollarsthere is a small lake and extensive meadows.
According to the technical sheet, released by various specialized media in the sale of real estate, the house built, in 2020, enjoys an extension of 9,066 square feetwith five bedrooms and eight bathrooms.
It is completed by a hall, kitchen, dining room, living room, main room, family room, wine cellar, cinema room, terrace, garage for two vehicles, among other rooms.
Outside, on his lot 3.4 acresenjoys extensive green areas, a guest house with one bedroom and one bathroom, a swimming pool with its respective spa area, two outdoor kitchens, harvest areas, private access to the beach, among other amenities.
As for the second lot, this has an extension of 6.6 acres, unknown, until now, the plans that Ellen and Portia would have with this and with the main property. Will they unify them, will they build another house or will they simply remodel the main house? All this is a mystery, of which, surely, we will have news in a few months.
Until a few days ago, the most expensive operation in Santa Barbara was led by tycoon Riley Bechtel and his wife, who two years ago opened their wallets and shelled out $63 million for a ranch in Montecito.
