Meet the Eternals, the seven beings that make up the family of Morpheus within the plot of The Sandman, conceived by writer Neil Gaiman
At last, fans of The Sandman will be able to see in a live action series Morpheus and his brothers, the Eternals (Endless in English), beings that occupy an important place in all the Universes of the vast DC Multiverse.

Let’s stop for a moment to meet these beings, who are the children of Night and Time. These seven beings are forces of nature, which reveal themselves in an aspect understandable to living beings.
The Eternals are immortal representations of seven abstract emotions and ideas, each with their own realm and responsibilities. They behave like brothers and wear a variety of guises.
In English the seven Eternal (Endless) have names with the letter D (Destruction, Death, Dream, Destiny, Desire, Despair and Delirium)
Meet these beings and their relationship with the King of Dreams
Dream / Morpheus
The lord of dreams and stories, Dream (also known as Morpheus or The Sandman -Sandman-) is formal in speech, gothic in appearance, and doomed to romance. He is the protagonist of the series whose symbols of power are a helmet, a sandbag and a ruby.
Dream debuted at #1 on The Sandman. Morpheus is imprisoned; fleeing from him prompts him to abandon his past of cruelty and coldness. Change is the hardest thing for the Dream King to accept.
Destiny
The eldest of the Eternals, he is chained to a great tome known as the Cosmic Record, which contains the sum of all existence within its pages.
It is much like your book, possessing an unshakable certainty and equanimity, but lacking any ability to change or be spontaneous.
Death
An attractive young woman, but tough as a nail. She has a gothic look and Egyptian ornaments (Ankh) and eye makeup (the Eye of the Hours).
Death is the second oldest of the Eternals and the only one allowed to travel. freely through the realms of others without asking permission.
Destruction
The prodigal brother who has been at odds with the other Eternals after he abandoned his post 300 years ago.
Destruction is the middle brother of the seven Eternals, appearing as a muscular red-haired man in military attire. Of all the Eternals (besides Death), he is the most capable of accepting change.
Desire
Desire is Despair’s twin brother. Desire is tall, elegant and gender fluid, this means that he can present himself as both male and female. He has a kind of rivalry with Morpheus.
Wish is the only one of the Eternals, besides Death, who always tells Dream the truth. Capriciously cruel, Wish often acts against the best interests of his individual siblings and the Eternals in general.
Despair
Desperation looks like a pale, overweight woman with a reserved intelligence and a penchant for self-mutilation.
She is Desire’s twin and occasional co-conspirator, though Desperation tends not to be as involved in family feuds. She is just as outspoken and taciturn as her twin is witty and talkative.
Delirium
Delirio is the youngest Eternal with a variable temperament and an almost chaotic appearance that is constantly changing.
Delirium conversations tend to be a sequence of ‘non-sequiturs’ who, however, manage to convey their point of view. Her siblings tend to be protective of her and love her more openly than each other.
