Who is Galadriel?
In the saga of The Lord of the Rings we met Galadriel is the Queen of the Elves, who in the plot of the books helps Frodo to find the way to Mordor and destroy Sauron’s ring, which corrupts everyone it touches .
Galadriel was born into a noble family, from which several kings of the elven kingdom have emerged, who lived in the Blessed Realm, before embarking on a persecution that would take them to Middle-earth.
In the kingdom of Doriath Galadriel meets her husband, Celeborn, and also meets Queen Melian, who would become her mentor. Galadriel travels throughout middle earth to finish off Sauron for which she receives her own ring, which is the ring of water.
Galadriel had a daughter, Celebrían, who later begets Arwen, who was played by Liv Tyler in the Lord of the Rings saga on the big screen.
Meet Morfydd Clarke
In the saga directed by Peter Jackson Galadriel was played by Cate Blanchet, in The Rings of Power the actress chosen as the young version of Galadriel is Morfydd Clarke.
This Swedish actress has participated in several European productions, highlighting the Dracula series, the film Outsiders, and Saint Maud.
The Rings of Power takes place during a time of relative peace following the defeat of Morgoth, Sauron’s master. The story of The Rings of Power promises to visit the Misty Mountains, the Wood Elves’ capital of Lindon, and the shores of the island kingdom of Númenor.
