Melissa Yamel, producer of stand-up feminist, used her social networks to denounce the alleged sexual abuse she suffered at the hands of Mau Nieto, comedian and former host of The academy in United States.
The events would have occurred in 2018 at the Woko Comedu Club, a forum for standups which was recently closed and in which Yamel coincided with Nieto, who allegedly intoxicated her to abuse her.
Taking advantage of the fact that they have already closed (finally) the @WokoComedyClub Y @cento39I open 🧵 at the same time, the comedian named Mauricio Nieto (@MauNieto) abused me in 2018. pic.twitter.com/zwYzTsQAd1

In the Twitter thread posted by Yamel, the producer said that it all started when she approached Nieto to congratulate him on his career. Later he invited her to have some drinks with her and when they lost her account he revealed that he only wanted to have a sexual encounter with her.
I went over to tell him that I really liked his routine, to which he immediately replied: ‘What are you drinking?’ After that, he bought a mezcal and another and another and another. After so many, I remember asking him: ‘Mauricio Nieto, why do you invite me so many drinks?’ ‘So I can fuck with you,’ he replied.
After that, he took me by the arm, took me to the bathroom and we had sexual relations, which I never consented to. I don’t know how long we were in the bathroom, but what I am sure of is that there came a time when they tried to open the door, they hit it and there was a lot of screaming.
Those who were outside knew that Mauricio and I were inside, because they began to shout that ‘we should hurry up’. While this was happening, I remember looking at him, he completely ignored what was happening outside, while I grabbed the doorknob with all my strength so they wouldn’t open it.
He came out of the bathroom first, I remember myself pulling up my leggings. Leaving and returning to the bar, he and his friends were gone.
Yamel also revealed that the standup Solín, who was his friend at the time, called him out for his behavior. In addition, he assured that a second comedian who offered him help would also have taken advantage of her.
I was still there as if nothing had happened, but my (then) ‘friend’ Solín told me: ‘Wow, you screwed up.’ I didn’t understand why. I already wanted to go home and I wanted to order an Uber.
It was then that @juanescaliente_ approached me to ask if I was okay and offered to give me a ride. We got in the car and the next thing I remember is getting to his house and waking up the next day with no clothes on his bed.
Solín called me multiple times to tell me ‘I was about to ruin Mauricio’s career’, ‘I wouldn’t go to Woko if I were you,’ among many other offenses. They told me as if it was my fault that Mauricio had abused me.
I stayed away from comedy for many months because, yes, I was very scared…
The producer said that if she did not speak at the time, it was for fear of losing job opportunities, since comedy is not an easy field for women. But that’s not all, because she clarified that she will not speak more about the issue for mental health and called on all the people who have witnessed similar cases so that they are not accomplices.
Melissa has me blocked but since I was mentioned, I’ll expose my version, I already sent it to her too. pic.twitter.com/JvpSOgPI0T

So far, Nieto has not spoken about the accusations against him, but he has restricted access to his Twitter account.
The one who did reply was Solín, Yamel’s ex-friend, who offered his own version of the events, assuring that the producer never made him aware of a sexual assault.
