Reeves is currently working on two projects in The Batman Universe, of which the Penguin series stands out. Where Colin Farrell will reprise his role as Oswalt Cobblepot, as well as the show based on Arkham Asylum.
But that’s not all, as Reeves has the likes of Scarecrow, Clayface and Professor Pyg on the radar to develop their own films.
Great acceptance of The Batman
The Batman premiered in March 2022, achieving a more than acceptable review among the specialized press and fans, thanks to its darker vision of the cases that the Dark Knight follows in one of the most chaotic cities in the DC Universe.
One of the successes that Matt Reeves is recognized for is developing his own universe, which keeps these films apart from the DC Extended Universe, where the original film by Ben Affleck was planned.
Warner Bros. and Discovery have not yet officially given the green light to the sequel to The Batman, but it is a matter of time before DC Comics announces the second part of this film, with Robert Pattinson as the interpreter of the Dark Knight.
