What does Marvel have to do with a soccer video game like FIFA 23? A leak reveals an epic crossover.
EA Sports has begun to expose new information about FIFA 23 and showed the new cover of the game. Among the novelties that stand out the most is that they will not have Russian clubs, due to the war with Ukraine. But also, now they have leaked that it will have a crossover with Marvel.
FIFA 23 will add something new called ‘FUT Heroes’ and have revealed that:
“Bring soccer fan favorites back to the pitch in FIFA 23 Ultimate Team as FUT Heroes, with special items that represent the memorable moments from their career that made them cult legends.”

The three players currently expected to be a part of this are Ricardo Carvalho, Park Ji-Sung Y Yaya Toure. So it’s not at all clear how this will tie into Marvel, but EA seems to be trying to keep things under wraps at the moment. We imagine that it is unlikely that the Captain America, Hombre de Hierro Y spider-man play soccer in UltimateTeambut maybe there will be Marvel-themed teams that players can choose from or some kind of special events.
We’ll probably have to wait until closer to the game’s release to find out more about this crossover from Marvel. There has never really been any kind of big crossover with any of the major sports franchises outside of a crossover of spongebob on Madden 21. But that was relatively minimal and was done to promote an NFL game of Nickelodeon in real life. Although it is difficult to see what the connection is between Marvel Y FIFA 23.
But it sure is a great way to promote both franchises, even though they are so different from each other. We’ll find out all about it when the best soccer game for consoles is released.
