On that official poster of the character from Guardians of the Galaxy Also came the release date. Thus, that same day we will be able to do a marathon of the entire program of groot in the purest style of Netflix.
This is the first time in the history of Marvel Studios that Disney + will premiere the entire series since the start of the series. MCU Phase 4. All of them, from WandaVision until moon knightgoing by Loki or Hawk Eye, have been released by launching weekly episodes. It was a kind of “golden rule” that we viewers had become accustomed to. We don’t know if it will last beyond I Am Grootbut the truth is that it has caught absolutely all of us by surprise.
A surprise not only for the UCM, but also for Disney +
The news is not only shocking for fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, also for television consumers. In some ways, the announcement has coincided with Netflix’s recent struggles to keep subscribers on its streaming platform. Considering that Disney+ has received a ton of accolades recently, it’s pretty surprising that it’s taken a route that’s part of the competitor’s brand name or distinction. We assume that there will be a compelling reason behind it, but right now we do not know it. Or, at least, it has not transpired publicly.
In addition to Marvel Studios, the change of I Am Groot it is also a modification of other aspects related to the streaming platform. Disney+ has maintained that weekly release pattern even with the smaller animation and short film projects. For example, the spinoff of Toy Story 4 starring the fork Forky they were short films of just two or three minutes per episode. Well, those short films were broadcast every Friday, religiously.
