As we have already told you before, we are moved by stories that are accompanied by a lot of love, because we believe that, especially in these times, it is necessary to fill homes with gratitude, empathy and love. That is why we share the emotion of a man who was moved when he heard the word “dad” for the first time from his stepdaughter.
It was through YouTube that the story of Feng became known, the man who for years waited for his wife Lu’s daughter to call him “dad” until she finally got it. This happened in Hubei province, north of China. In the video shared on said social network, we see the emotional surprise that Mr. Feng took when the little girl called him that after several years of trying to win her affection.
In the clip we see how suddenly the girl approaches to toast and calls him “dad”. The word was so longed for that the man couldn’t believe it, but in a matter of seconds he realizes that he didn’t hear wrong and he gets so emotional that he starts to cry. After realizing what his daughter has told him, unable to contain his tears, he gets up and hugs the girl.
This video was originally published on the popular Chinese platforms Weibo and Douyin, achieving more than 100 million views, but it was due to YouTube that the recording spread to the whole world.
According to the newspaper South China Morning Postthe girl is the daughter of Mrs. Lu, the product of a previous marriage, and it was not until now, after four years of living together, that she named Feng in this way.
Of course, it is not the first time that we have heard of this type of story, because a Peruvian girl experienced something similar who took advantage of her TikTok account to share how grateful she was to her stepfather, who not only raised her since she was three years old, but also he supported her much more than her biological father when she wanted to study pastry.

We would love to know that all fathers in the world are responsible in every way, but although this is not possible, to know that more and more men are taking on the role of fatherhood with their hearts and, like Feng, earning the Being called “dad” fills us with a lot of emotion.
