The doctor said she had only seen this once in 19 years. She didn’t think it was that syndrome because of how rare it is, but they took samples and a pathologist examined them under a special microscope.

Uncombable hair syndrome is a rare anomaly that mainly affects the root of the hair on the scalp. The main characteristics of this condition are: dry, curly, light brown or blonde hair, it grows in different directions and its texture is very easy to break, making it practically impossible to comb.
The problems of this syndrome are limited to the hair on the scalp, and the symptoms appear from 3 months of age, but tend to improve at the beginning of puberty. It affects 50% of the hair, while the other 50% remains normal.
One goes about his day to day thinking that his son may have curly hair, which is common in the family. But hearing that there is a rare syndrome associated with my son was crazy.
It is diagnosed after clinical examination and confirmed by visualization of the hair under a microscope. By looking at the hair strands individually, it can be seen that the hair is triangular or heart-shaped.
I barely have to wash it, unless I’m literally playing in the dirt, because it doesn’t get greasy. It’s incredibly smooth, and people want to touch it all the time. I hardly comb it, because it is very fragile. I try to be very delicate with him and I don’t touch him unless I have to.
Locklan’s family has taken their son’s condition in the best way, so through their Instagram account they share videos and photos of the little boy showing off his messy hair.
Most people are very nice to the little one as they love the way his hair looks and often tell him he looks like a rock star who makes people smile.
Experts say that the symptoms of uncombable hair syndrome improve or disappear spontaneously with age, so it is not necessary to receive any type of treatment.
For now, Locklan is a kid who loves attention and doesn’t mind the uniqueness of his hair.
