One of the most emotional moments during each awards ceremony oscar is the In Memoriam tribute, in which people who died in the last 12 months and whose career was related to the world of cinema are remembered. This year Lenny Kravitz will be in charge of interpreting a song during those minutes.
Glenn Weiss and Ricky Kirshner, producers of the event, reported on the selection of the singer to perform in that part of the ceremony, which will take place on Sunday, March 12 at the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles; Among the celebrities who have been announced to present awards are Florence Pugh, Salma Hayek, Andrew Garfield and Antonio Banderas.
In addition to having an extensive and successful musical career, Lenny is no stranger to the film industry, having tried his luck as an actor, generating rave reviews for his roles in films such as “Precious”, “The Butler” and “The hunger games”. The 95th awards ceremony oscar will be led by Jimmy Kimmel.
