The month of September is one of the favorites of the followers of the Dark Knight, as it commemorates Batman Day, a tradition with nearly a decade of existence.
Batman is the most popular DC Comics character, and even in some countries like Mexico he reaches more fans than Superman, so in September the whole planet comes together to celebrate Batman Day.

In 2014, within the framework of the 75th anniversary of the Dark Knight, DC Comics decided to make the so-called “diamond wedding” of Bat Man a great celebration, as happened a year before with Superman.
To coincide with the 2014 edition of San Diego Comic-Con, DC Comics established June 23, 2014 as the first Batman Day.

On this day, DC joins forces with thousands of bookstores, libraries, book and comic book stores around the world to make Batman Day one big celebration to honor Gotham City’s hero.
But this effort is not only in comic shops. Some places and museums join DC Comics to celebrate the legacy that over eight decades, for example in 2014, the exhibition Batman through Mexican creativity was held in Mexico City.
How often is Batman Day held?
As of 2015, DC Comics determined that the date to commemorate Batman Day is the third Saturday of the month of September.
On this date, events are held in large cities, such as the lighting of the Batiseñal, which illuminated one of the tallest buildings in Mexico City on September 21, 2019.
As of 2020, with the Covid pandemic, some events have not been carried out massively, but that does not prevent fans from celebrating Batman Day.
Movie marathons, reading circles with the best stories, cosplays, and more activities are held by fans around the world to honor the legacy that Bob Kane and Bill Finger gave us by introducing Batman in Detective Comics #27 (May 1939).
