This week starts off well for ‘Nightwatch’ fans (‘Kimetsu no Yaiba’), because we can finally mark on the calendar when the third season of the anime is released, but also that there will be a special movie to introduce us to this new arc.
It was nowhere to be seen coming, but crunchyroll has confirmed that we can see on the big screen ‘Kimetsu no Yaiba: Heading to the Blacksmiths’ Village’.
Starting season 3 in style
This special film opens in Japan on February 3, 2023 and the platform is already preparing a World Tour that will take the film to theaters in 80 countries. In the United States it can be seen from February 18, from February 25 in France, from February 26 in Germany and on March 4 in Mexico.
There are still tons of countries and dates to be revealed, but it seems that the premiere in 4k in Spain and Latin America is assured and it shouldn’t be much later than March.
We still have to be patient with the dates, but taking into account the box office outrage that ‘Kimetsu no Yaiba: Infinite Train’ did at the time, it is normal that nobody wants to miss the opportunity to bring the franchise back to theaters.

‘Kimetsu no Yaiba: Heading to the Blacksmith Village’ will serve to unite the second and the anime season. Here comes a bit of a downturn, because it is not that we are facing an original film, but that the final two episodes of the Red Light District Arc will be joined with the start of the next arc.
The good thing is that within this movie for theaters you can see the first episode of the third season, which lasts one hour and promises to be a spectacular start. So we can see the start of season 3 of the anime a little before its premiere in April to leave us long teeth.
