Warner has just given us what is probably the biggest surprise of the week by officially confirming the launch of ‘Constantine 2’ 17 years after the premiere of the first installment. Also, Keanu Reeves will bring to life the legendary DC character created by Alan Moore and Stephen Bissette.

Reeves himself highlighted during the promotional campaign for ‘Matrix Resurrections’ that he had tried to raise the project on several occasions without finishing it.
In addition, Reeves is not the only one confirmed back, as the director Francis Lawrence (‘Soy Leyenda’) will take care of the staging again. Where there are changes is in the script, since Warner has entrusted ‘Constantine 2’ to Akiva Goldsmann when the first installment was written by Kevin Brodbin and Frank Cappello.
It is still unknown if any other members of the cast of ‘Constantine’ will return. The latter is the most likely to return, as in 2020 he confirmed that the sequel was underway…
