José Sacristán faces an unprecedented role in his career, that of an exorcist, and he does so at the age of 84 in the trailer for ’13 Exorcisms’the feature debut by Jacobo Martínez produced by Atresmedia and is inspired by different cases of exorcisms recently documented in Spain and it has the same creative team from the recent ‘Malasaña 32’, which also brought back a movie face from Barrio like Concha Velasco to fight against demons. It opens in theaters on November 4.
Following in the footsteps of ‘Veronica’
In the official synopsis from ’13 Exorcisms’:
“After a spiritism session held on All Hallows’ Eve, Laura Villegas begins to behave strangely. Alarmed by her daughter’s sinister behavior and convinced that the devil has possessed her, her parents go to Father Olmedo, one of the 15 exorcists authorized by the Vatican to intervene in cases of demonic possession. From then on, a series of strange phenomena will begin to envelop the protagonists of the story.”
The script is the work of Ramón Campos, Gema R. Neira, David Orea, Salvador S. Molina, and Carlos Ruano and will feature the actors María Romanillos’, Ruth Díaz, Urko Olazabal and José Sacristán. The cast is completed by Pablo Revuelta, Silma López; Daniel Arias; Alicia Falcó, Uri Guitart and has the special collaboration of Cristina Castaño.
’13 exorcisms’ is produced by Ramon Campos and executive production of this together with Teresa Fernández Valdés and Sara Gonzalo, is a production of Mr. Fields and Friends, Atresmedia Cine, Bambú Producciones and 13 E Movie AIEwith the participation of Atresmedia, Movistar+, AGADIC and Diputación de Orense and will reach Spanish cinemas distributed by Beta Fiction Spain.
