Although there are a few weeks left for ‘Andor’ to be released, the Star Wars series machinery continues its course and ‘The Acolyte’ (which I especially want) is taking shape. Today we know that Jodie Turner-Smith (‘Ana Bolena’) will co-star in the fiction alongside Amandla Stenberg (‘The Hunger Games’).
The details of the character have not transpired, like those of his co-star or, directly, what the argument will revolve around. However, considering that in this universe “acolyte” refers to those who train in the force under the supervision of a Sith Lord, we can imagine where the shots are going.
Welcome to the High Republic
When they announced the project, which has Leslye Headland (‘Russian doll’) in front, it was already said that we would be in a different time. And of course: ‘The Acolyte’ will be a mystery series in the last days of the luminous High Republic. Outside of the “Skywalker years”, this era is, in fact, the one that is developing the most Star Wars in its expanded universe.
The filming of this new series is scheduled for the final months of this year. Jodie Turner-Smith will be seen soon (it has just premiered in Venice) in the new film by Noah Baumbach‘Background noise’.
