Jeremy Strong is currently very popular thanks to his role in the successful television series “Succession”but at the beginning of his career he was about to participate in the tape “Captain America: The First Avenger” of 2011, in which he would be the body double of the main actor Chris Evans.
In a recent interview with The Times Uk Strong commented on that experience, which occurred while attending auditions in Los Angeles: “They needed someone to appear in the body of the young Captain America, before he becomes a superhero...they would use computer-generated imagery to put the real actor’s face and voice over mine.”
Interestingly, few know that Strong and Evans know each other and grew up in Sudbury, Massachusetts, where they performed in plays as children. When interviewed by the same medium, Chris said that he has always admired his childhood companion: “All of this shows that the industry is so unpredictable. But I’m really happy that things worked out, because I don’t think there was a plan B for Jeremy.”
Now for your work on the tape “Armageddon Time” Jeremy Strong is getting rave reviews, and is already mentioned as a possible award nominee Oscar next year. Recalling what might have been his first experience in Hollywood, he added: “I was broke. He needed money. I considered it. But that’s my Los Angeles story. It was just never going to happen to me here. It didn’t seem like what he had to offer was valued.”
