The “Avengers” star spent more than two weeks in the hospital after the six-ton vehicle rolled over on him while clearing the driveway of his Tahoe, Nevada, residence.
“These 30+ broken bones will be mended, strengthened, as love and bond with family and friends deepen,” the 52-year-old two-time Oscar nominee wrote on Instagram. He also thanked his followers for the messages of support.
He posted a photo of himself lying on a bed, hands clasped over his chest, while a man holds his leg bent at the knee.
“Morning workouts, resolutions, everything changed in this particular new year,” Renner wrote, adding that despite the tragedy, which affected his entire family, “he quickly focused on the love that unites them.”
Renner sustained the injuries while trying to climb onto the snowplow to stop it. He was evacuated by helicopter and later posted a selfie from his hospital bed, showing heavy bruises on his face.
Authorities said shortly after the crash that there was no indication that alcohol or drugs were involved.
The actor was using a PistenBully, or snowcat, a track-drawn vehicle the size of a truck designed to remove snow.
Renner was nominated for two Oscars for his roles in The Hurt Locker (live on the edge either the hurt Locker) Y The Town (city of thieves either Dangerous attraction).
