We’ve all been through the stormy moments that come after a breakup. Any parting is complicated, but when you are deeply in love and, for some reason, you have to say goodbye, literally, you feel like the world is closing in on you.
That is why we perfectly understand Jennifer Lopez after, during a recent interview for The Zane Lowe Show from Apple Music, said that 18 years ago, when she broke up with her great love Ben Affleck, she thought she was going to die. We know!
It was very painful after we parted ways. Once we called off that wedding 20 years ago, it was the biggest heartbreak of my life. I honestly felt like I was going to die.
Apparently, the “diva from the Bronx” had a hard time getting over it, because although she continued with her life all the time she felt that something was not right, but life surprised her with a second chance to specify what was pending.
It sent me spiraling through the next 18 years where I just couldn’t get it right. But now, 20 years later, it has a happy ending, it has the most “would never happen in Hollywood” ending.
We captured that moment when I met the love of my life and we decided that we would be together forever. If, like me, you have sometimes lost hope, almost given up, don’t. True love exists and some things last forever, that’s real. I want to convey that message to the world and that requires a lot of vulnerability.
Thank you, JLo, for giving our broken hearts hope. We hope to be as lucky as you one day. For now, we can’t wait to hear his new album This Is Me Nowwhich is about to be released this coming December 2 on all digital platforms, to commemorate, precisely, the 20th anniversary of the launch of This Is Me…Then.
The whole message of the album is ‘This love exists, this love is real’.
