McAvoy participated in four X-Men films, including X-Men: Dark Phoenix, which is considered the end of the saga produced since the dawn of the 21st century.
Although McAvoy delivered memorable moments for the mutant film saga, in an interview with GQ, which Comicbook collects, the British revealed which X-Men movie is his favorite.
“First Class is probably my favorite X-Men movie… But in terms of what I did as an actor, I’d say Days of Future Past was probably the most challenging and interesting experience I’ve ever had as an actor in X-Men movies.”.
In Days of the Future Past, McAvoy plays a Charles Xavier who is disappointed in how the government recruited his students as soldiers in the Vietnam War, causing him to sink into considerable depression.
This changes when Logan finds him, warning him that Misty is about to commit a murder that will doom the future of mutantkind, in a story inspired by the Days of Future Past saga, directed by Chris Claremont and John Byrne.
In recent weeks, McAvoy has denied rumors that he and Marvel had a bad relationship, noting that he enjoyed his time in the X-Men franchise to the fullest.
“It was one of the most positive experiences I’ve ever had with a studio. Not really [los veo como solo] money concerts. X-Men: Days of the Future Past is one of the best movies I’ve ever been involved in.”.
