“The Jaguar I-TYPE 6 is the most advanced and efficient electric racing vehicle in history”, is the premise with which the luxury automotive manufacturer presents this single-seater. It is the first FIA Formula E race car to feature both front and rear powertrains, with regenerative power of 250 kW at the front and 350 kW at the rear, double the regenerative capacity compared to the model Gen2 and eliminates the requirement to use conventional rear brakes.
Starting next January 2023, the Gen3 era of Formula E will bring faster and more exciting wheel-to-wheel driving on street circuits around the world. Pioneering new cutting-edge technologies, the third generation of Jaguar’s Formula E single-seater will set new performance benchmarks: 74kg lighter and 100kW more powerful than previous cars, and now capable of a top speed of 200mph.
The new livery is an asymmetrical type by Jaguar’s creative team that translates into unique vehicles for drivers and a distinctive new identity for the Gen3 era.
The Next Generation for Formula E will continue to be a real-world test bed for the Jaguar TCS Racing and Jaguar Land Rover lines as the team develops and innovates new cutting-edge technologies to compete for Championship success. Jaguar TCS Racing will race in Mexico City on January 14, 2023 in the first of 17 races in 12 cities.
