    While the cutting-edge superhero show has managed to get past its barbarities with an R rating, visual effects supervisor and associate producer Stephan Fleet hinted to fans on Twitter that he hasn’t seen anything like it until now.

    For those wondering what gore will be like next season, Fleet added in another tweet:

    “I think I just saw the most disgusting thing I’ve seen working in this business so far.”

    The official Twitter account of ‘The Boys’ quoted the producer sarcastically, joking that Season 4 would be rated “PG” (for all audiences)

    First released in 2019, the violent series is based on the comics of the same name written by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson, about an irreverent world where superheroes are as popular as celebrities, as influential as politicians, and at times,… even as revered as gods. Last month, Prime Video unveiled a very gory trailer for the upcoming college spin-off from ‘The Boys’, ‘Gen V’.
