If you usually follow Turkish soap operas, it is more than possible that the protagonists of this story are familiar to you. Hande Erçel, whom we saw playing Eda in the famous Love is in the air, and Tolgahan Sayışman (runner-up in Turkey’s Best Model contest in 2002 and about to sneak into the list of the most handsome men in the world) give life to Hazal and Kenan, the leading couple of this soap opera set in the idyllic Çeşme.
The original name of the novel is “Siyah İnci”, in Spanish black pearl, and although it premiered in Turkey in September 2017 and lasted until February 2018, it is now that Mediaset has bought the rights and It is broadcast in Spain through the Divinity channel since last April.

The synopsis of the series tells us that Hazal is “a girl who lives with her mother, her stepfather and her sister, and who dreams of marrying her boyfriend Kenan. But the irruption of Vural, a man with psychological problems, will put the couple’s marriage and their own lives at risk.”
The reason for this effort is very cloudy. After Vural meets Hazal, he becomes infatuated with her because of her resemblance to her ex-wife Naz, whom he killed when she threatened to leave him. Hazal will be for him the opportunity to recover his wife and relive his love story, but this obsession will only bring pain.
It’s clearly not a romantic comedy, there’s too much drama in there to categorize it like that, but if you like me Love is in the air and its female protagonist, is the right series. Plenty of intensity, lots of love and plenty of hints of suspense and thriller.
