It seems that art generated by artificial intelligence could turn all creative disciplines upside down, now that Programs like DALL-E, Midjourney, and the Free AI Art Generator can be used by anyone to create images like human portraits and even recreate the aesthetics of directors like Wes Anderson. Now, the director of ‘Pinocchio’, Guillermo del Toro, has exploded against these systems.
Many of the entertainment industry leaders remain skeptical. Guillermo del Toro has described the art of AI as “an insult to life itself.”quoting renowned Japanese film director and animator Hayao Miyazaki:
“I consume human-made art; it moves me deeply. And I’m not interested in machine-made artwork, in extrapolating information,” the Oscar-winning filmmaker told Decider, “I spoke to Dave McKean, who is a great artist, and he told me that his hope is that Artificial Intelligences cannot draw.

AIs can extrapolate information, but they don’t draw. They will never be able to capture a feeling or the countenance, the softness of a human face. Because of his position, this debate is being taken to the movies and it would be very serious, Miyazaki said that it would be an insult to life itself.”
