Surely every once in a while you come across a list of streaming recommendations -I myself made one just a few days ago about some of the best movies of 2022 available on platforms-, but then it may happen that you are simply not a subscriber to any of those services. Well, today I would like to let you know that you can watch totally free in streaming one of the best science fiction series about the end of the world.
There are no excuses to leave her aside
Some of you have probably already guessed that I am referring to ‘The Collapse’, the excellent French miniseries that came to our country at the hands of Filmin and that some time later also became part of the Disney+ catalog. What you may not know is that you also have free access to it for a limited time on RTVE Play. In addition, the margin to see it is quite generous, since it will be available there until next December 24.
‘The collapse’ is divided into 8 episodes of about 20 minutes each, so lack of time is not a reasonable excuse to put it aside. After all, it doesn’t even last three hours, so in the end, seeing it in its entirety will be shorter than, for example, putting on ‘The Batman’.
I also do not forget that it is always good to give reasons why something is worth seeing. In the case of ‘El Collapse’, the most striking aspect of the series a priori is that each episode is shot in a single sequence shotwhich helps make your viewing an even more immersive experience, as it is something that is used brilliantly instead of becoming a slave to it.
In addition, each chapter offers a different and complementary vision to the rest on how we would react in a scenario in which civilization goes to waste. The intensity is guaranteed, but it also brilliantly enhances the most exciting aspectl, to the point that some episode -I think especially in one in particular- can be quite hard.
And it is that ‘The Collapse’ opts for a purely dramatic approach but without putting too many inks on anything. Here what has happened is not so important as how the human being tries to survive in a situation that is totally beyond his control, also offering an extraordinarily varied approach when it comes to doing so.
