I have to admit that, if I was already a fan of the FX house, now with the pairing with Disney+ we have guaranteed to enjoy some of the most interesting series and miniseries on the current scene. The next one is ‘Kindred’which will be released in the United States on December 13 and whose trailer we can already see.

    ‘Kinship’ between eras

Based on the homonymous novel by Octavia E Butler (published in Spain as ‘Parentesco’), the eight-episode drama follows the story of dana james (Mallori Johnson), a young black woman who, before she can settle into her new home in Los Angeles, is pushed between present and past, appearing in a 19th century plantation, a place closely linked to her and her family.

Beside mallori johnson‘Kindred’ stars michael stock like kevin, ryan kwanten like Thomas Weylin, Gayle Rankin as Margaret Weylin, austin smith like Luke, david alexander kaplan like Rufus, Sophina Brown like Sarah and Sheria Irving like Olivia.

Branden Jacobs Jenkins is the main person in charge of the series as a writer and showrunner, with Janicza Bravo directing the pilot. The FX channel will premiere all eight episodes of ‘Kindred’ at the same time and its international premiere will be done through Disney +. The platform, yes, has not yet clarified when it will be released but we hope it will not take long.
